Making friends once you are done studying/staring to work is hard, and it’s so annoying/sad because friends make life so much better/bearable! It’s not like you can go around asking people to be your friend, after a certain point/age it becomes creepy.

Hacer amigos una vez que te graduaste de la escuela/empiezas a trabajar es difícil, esto es bastante molesto por que tener amigos ¡hace la vida diaria muchísimo más agradable/tolerable! Y tristemente después de cierta edad no puedes andar por la calle pidiendo a completos extraños que sean tus amigos.

But how many times have you wanted to say “hi” to the cool girl you se at random places that you like, who you know you would hit it off with? Or just regularly speak to or see that (totally platonic) girl crush you have? You know that person who you had a mini chat with in a waiting room or store. And quickly realized they could totally be your BFF but that is not something you can say out loud to strangers.

Pero cuantas veces no has querido saludar a esa chica a la que ves en lugares que te gustan, con la que sabes te llevarías súper bien. O hablar/frecuentar a esa chica que se ha convertido en tu mejor amiga platónica, ustedes saben esa chava con la que hablaste poco en alguna fiesta, sala de espera, tienda, etc. Y pronto te diste cuenta que fácilmente podría ser tu mejor amiga, pero decírselo probablemente la asustaría.

Hey! VINA recently launched in San Fransisco and it uses the same principles as Tinder, only its not for meeting romantic partners but for finding people like you! (to be friends with) So next time you see that platonic girl crush you can just quickly check the app and hope that she is there.

At the moment the app only works for girls (sorry guys) and in San Francisco, Los Angeles and New York City, but hopefully as it becomes more popular (and I’m sure it will) ‘cause reality is that we need more apps that actually connect people and that create relationships. We are social beings and friendship motivate us to be better humans, so we hope we all find a new friend no matter where we are!

Por el momento la app es solo para mujeres (lo siento chavos) y en San Francisco, Los Angeles y New York City, pero esperemos que se vuelva muy popular (estoy segura que lo hará) porque la verdad es que necesitamos más redes sociales que conecten a las personas y que logren crear relaciones. Somos seres sociales por naturaleza y la amistad es algo que nos motiva a ser mejores personas, así que esperamos que puedas encontrar nuevos amigos ¡sin importar donde estés!
